A Stellation of the Rhombic Triacontahedron

A Stellation of the Rhombic Triacontahedron

A Stellation of the Rhombic Triacontahedron

There are very many Stellations of the Rhombic Triacontahedron.

The Rhombic Triacontahedron has a larger Icosahedron than the PentagonalDodecahedron inscribed within it. In the stellation, the roles of the edges are reversed.  Whereas, the edge of the Icosahedron in the Rhombic Triacontahedron is 1.618034 and the Pentagonal Dodecahedron has an edge of 1; in the stellation, the icosahedron is edge 1 and the Pentagonal Dodecahedron is edge 1.618034.  The image above and on the right illustrates the role changes of the edges through simple animation.
